‘Reboot’ for Bendrigg Trust
Bendrigg Trust is a residential outdoor centre that offers activity and adventure opportunities to disabled and disadvantaged people of all ages, from across the UK. Set in a stunning rural setting between the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks, Bendrigg provides a huge range of activities including caving, climbing, canoeing, cycling and even zip wires.
Here at Amphigean, we’ve long been supporters of Bendrigg, but over the last year, the pandemic has made it difficult to offer hands-on support. So, we were delighted to have the opportunity to return to Bendrigg and help them with their ReBoot Campaign to get the centre back up and running.
It was also a fantastic opportunity for the whole team to get together in person, working out in the beautiful countryside.
So, what did we do? Well, with the centre just about to reopen to guests, we got busy cleaning, painting, tidying and decorating to help get the new ‘Oakwood’ accommodation ready for volunteers. The Bendrigg team were all fantastic. Ed in Maintenance and Kate, the Volunteer Co-ordinator, looked after the team really well.
We were delighted to be able to help Bendrigg as they open up for new adventures, and we’re proud to be a part of making that happen. We hope the guests and volunteers enjoy being back at Bendrigg as much as we did!
“It’s been great to welcome back the lovely Amphigean Limited team to Bendrigg. Today they have been volunteering to support our Reboot Campaign by helping to transform our Oakwood Building ready for our trainees and volunteers!”
