Season’s Greetings and Happy New Year from Amphigean

It’s been a busy year for the Amphigean team, and that’s how we like it. Exciting changes have been happening as we look to the future with a real sense of energy and purpose.

We moved into a new and bigger office space, helpfully located in the same building as before! The riverside location is a real plus, and various members of the group helped with setting it up – from the painting of the brightly coloured beams to the installation of new equipment. There is a recreation area for staff to unwind in comfort, as well as a 60-inch smart TV for online meetings with remote-working colleagues and customers.

We also carried out a full rebrand of our company this year, from the logo and colours to our website and all the literature and documents that we produce. Alongside this, we have brought in three new staff as we look to new verticals and opportunities, while continuing our strong ties with the telecoms sector. Tom, Anna and Jonathan are helping us with authoring, project co-ordination and graphic design respectively, and have already hit the ground running.

Amphigean has exhibited at two L&D conferences this year, and we were really pleased with the responses to us there. In February we were at the ExCel centre in London for a Learning Technologies event, and our creative Director Bryan Strange gave an excellent presentation on Agile Video Production with Powerpoint. In November we were in Manchester for our first CIPD conference, and were delighted with the number of visitors to our stand. We connected with companies across a wide spectrum of sectors including retail; defence; manufacturing and insurance. Bryan had another packed house for his presentation: Creating training videos using internal teams, and we have had a lot of interest from potential customers in the wake of the conference.

We are currently working on a number of exciting projects for both existing and new customers, so as we look ahead to 2020 and beyond, we are full of optimism and drive. It’s not all been work though, as a team we’ve enjoyed activities like cycling in Grizedale forest, a canal boat ride, a game of rounders, quiz nights and bowling.

Now it’s time for us to take a short break to recharge our batteries and enjoy the festive season. From everyone at Amphigean, season’s greetings and our warmest wishes for the new year.

It’s been a busy year, that’s for sure. We’ve now got a great team of graphic designers, authors, video and e-learning animators, project coordinator and customer account managers, and are thoroughly enjoying our extended capability in delivering some amazing projects for customers – both existing and new. I’d like to thank our customers for continuing to believe in Amphigean, and we send you our very best wishes for the new year.
